The University Park Student Council is a group of 4th and 5th graders nominated annually by their classroom teachers to represent the UPark student body. The students meet once a week throughout the school year during their lunch/recess time. Student Council’s purpose is to implement ideas, activities and events for UPark that may improve our school and community. Activities completed in the 2014-15 school year include: Executed a school policy change of extending lunch recess time for all students, sponsored Unity Day and sponsored Spirit Week. The student council will also be working on a Winter Coat Drive to provide help for those in need in our community.
