I was a student teacher at University Park in 2000 and began teaching in 2001.

Where did you go to college?
Colorado State University – BFA (Bachelor of Fine Arts) Metropolitan State University of Denver – ECE Licensure

What is your favorite thing about University Park Elementary?
There are so many things to choose from…my top three are happy-creative-eager students, supportive-positive colleagues, and unique-helpful families!

If a school day suddenly got canceled, how would you spend the day?
Planning for class, of course! Most likely I would watch a movie, read and spend time with my family.

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Arrrgh, do I really have to pick one! How about Pad Thai?

If you weren’t a teacher, what do you think your job would be?
There was a time in my life when I was heading towards a career in animation or design. I’m sure I would be more involved in the arts somehow.

What year did you begin teaching?
I started teaching in 2006.

Where did you go to college?
The University of Colorado!! Go Buffs!!

What is your favorite thing about University Park Elementary?
What I love about University Park is the community. I have personally learned so much about the world both near and far from working here. I also love watching students as they grow through the grades and continue to develop into the people they are becoming.

If a school day suddenly got canceled, how would you spend the day?
Relaxing! If it was a warm day, I’d love to spend it outside enjoying the weather; and if it were a cold day at a comfy coffee shop reading and hopefully laughing with friends (or maybe even a little shopping).

If you could only eat one food for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Anything with cheese, but I love to eat so I’d have a hard time sticking to just one thing.

If you weren’t a teacher, what do you think your job would be?
A weather girl or a flight attendant.

My favorite thing about University Park is the wonderful community of teachers, students and families.

If a school day suddenly got canceled, how would you spend the day?
I love spending time outside! If school suddenly got canceled in warm weather, I would go on a bike ride or a long walk. If school got canceled for a snow day, I probably would spend the day baking and watching a movie cuddled up on the couch.

Ice cream.

I have always had an interest in fashion.

I always laugh a lot at family dinners.
